Buying on paper | Check the apartment's size

If you are interested in buying an apartment on paper (in a building under construction), I suggest you check the apartment's size.

Usually, the broker or the company will tell you that the apartment is "x" sqm.

Ask (and better check what's written in the specification sheet) if the value they tell you includes the external walls or not.

In most cases, it includes the external walls.

It means that the apartment's surface will be about 10% less than the number they tell you.

To give you an idea, if the total surface is 140 sqm, about 14 sqm are lost for the walls. So you will have 126 sqm usable.
